View list of Bicycle Friendly Businesses in the Tampa Bay region by visiting the League’s website:

The League of American Bicyclists (The League) has certified these organizations as Bicycle Friendly BusinessesSM (BFBs) and Bicycle Friendly UniversitiesSM in their national Bicycle Friendly AmericaSM program.

These businesses and universities are playing a key role in advancing bicycling in the greater Tampa Bay region. As testament to that, as of January 2022, the City of Tampa is currently ranked #1 in the nation and the City of St. Petersburg is tied as #3 for total BFBs!

To be certified, organizations must apply to The League and demonstrate they support the bicycling community. Examples of bicycle friendliness include hosting events that cater to or support bicyclists, encouraging customers and/or employees to arrive by bike, and providing facilities that make bicycling to their respective establishments easier, like bike parking and changing facilities. The League evaluates these qualities and more, then ranks the level of bicycle friendliness by Bronze, the lowest designation, Silver, Gold, or Platinum, the very highest designation, or with no award at all. Every applicant also receives feedback on how to be more bike friendly.
