Florida employers give Best Workplaces for Commuters 2021 List a boost, breaking all-time record

Best Workplaces for Commuters announced the 2021 List at a virtual event in January and featured partners, Rubrik and TDM Specialists.

Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC), the national organization that recognizes and assists workplaces offering exceptional commuter benefits, is pleased to announce 450 U.S.-based employers have been named on its 2021 List. Of those listed, approximately a third are based in Florida, a notable increase from last year. Several new Florida employers joined the nearly 100 renewing List members, which already included some of the largest workplaces in the Tampa Bay region, like Florida Department of Transportation, University of South Florida, and Tampa General Hospital. The List was announced at a virtual event on January 28, 2021 and BWC partners, TDM Specialists, Inc. and Rubrik, Inc., presented insights from their successful commuter support programs.

BWC offers programs for Workplaces, Universities, and Sites, providing tailored support for these employers and their nearly four million collective employees around the nation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many employers have shifted their employee populations to working remotely; BWC recognizes telework as a key benefit of a successful employee commuter benefits package, helping increase program adoption nationally. To support employers and employees making the remote-work transition, BWC launched an online Telework Certificate program earlier in 2020 and continues to provide webinars and educational tools to help remote work transitions be successful.
