Several successful events held across region for Florida Bike Month

Riders pose for a group photo at the Tampa's Downtown Ride & Rally on Friday, March 8.

Cities both big and small across the Tampa Bay region celebrated Florida Bike Month. The month kicked off in Temple Terrace with the Sixth Annual Bike with the Mayor Ride on March 1, followed by the first-ever Temple Terrace Kids’ Rodeo and Family Fun Ride on March 2.

On March 8, BWTB founding agency Tampa Downtown Partnership hosted a Bike to Work Ride and Rally, where riders met at various locations and rode down to Lykes Gaslight Park in downtown Tampa.

Meanwhile, across the bay, BWTB founding agency Forward Pinellas held the third annual Bike Your City ride, in partnership with the City of Largo.

Other events held during the month include Kenneth City’s third annual Biking with a Badge, and the City of Plant City’s third annual Bike with the Mayor.

There are a lot of exciting events happening during National Bike Month in May. Check our Calendar for more details!
