Tampa’s cultural institutions along Riverwalk recently named Bicycle Friendly Businesses

Summer is winding down… if you’re looking for a way to entertain the family, consider visiting Tampa’s close-in cultural hub by bike! With the assistance of Tampa Downtown Partnership and Pedal Power Promoters, a significant portion of the cultural institutions along the Riverwalk rallied to support bicycling and ultimately be named Bicycle Friendly BusinessesSM by the League of American Bicyclists. This achievement is a significant spoke in Tampa’s bike-accessible network and helps ensure families have access to the city’s cultural treasures.

Next time you’re looking for something fun to do, check out one of these great museums, complete with secure bike parking and easy access from the Riverwalk trail:

  • David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts
  • The Florida Aquarium
  • Glazer Children’s Museum
  • Tampa Bay History Center
  • Tampa Museum of Art

And remember… even a hot Florida day feels cooler as breezes blow by while you’re riding your bike!
