Cycle September provides Tampa Bay residents with additional reasons to ride

Bike/Walk Tampa Bay is hosting Cycle September, a global competition to encourage more people to ride bicycles. Cycle September will run the entire month of September and is the final month of the larger Love to Ride National Bike Challenge, a summer-long competition. Additional perks have been added to the competition to encourage participation and the leaderboards have been “reset” for Cycle September so that riders joining for the first time have an equal shot at ranking.

Residents participate by logging rides on the Love to Ride Tampa Bay site or by joining one of the other local challenges, like Cycle September Temple Terrace or Cycle September Hillsborough County. Rides are tracked using apps that sync with the platform, such as Strava, or entered into the site manually. Bike/Walk Tampa Bay is providing encouragement and support, including hosting a Strava Club and posting other resources to the Love to Ride Tampa Bay site.
