Bike/Walk Tampa Bay hosted Cycle September, a local competition encouraging more people to ride bicycles and log their trips. Tampa Bay cyclist Phil Schuster won the overall challenge logging over 1,200 miles ridden. Danielle Greer logged over 1,000 miles to winning top female rider. In the large employer category, Tampa General Hospital took the top spot in the workplace challenge. Cycle September ran the entire month of September and was the final month of the larger Love to Ride National Bike Challenge, a summer-long competition. The leaderboards were “reset” for Cycle September so that riders joining for the first time could compete on level ground with those who had been riding all summer long.
Congratulations to the following Cycle September winners!
