The Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST) is a multi-disciplined Federal, State and local government endorsed program developed to reduce the number of traffic crashes that occur on Florida roadways. The program is managed by the Florida Department of Transportation and supported by a wide range of community partners, such as: cities, counties, law enforcement, first responders, school districts, St. Joseph’s Hospital Wellness and Safety Center, John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Safe Kids, health care advocacy groups, MADD, Tampa Alcohol Coalition, Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR), and more.

The members of the committees work towards this goal by addressing the Four Es:

Engineering
Enforcement
Education
Emergency Services

  1. I live in South Tampa near MacDill AFB. I am interesting in participating in a Community Traffic Safety Team. I presently participate as an Auxiliary Ranger in Pinellas County bicycle patrol primarily on the Pinellas Trail. I would like to volunteer closer to home as a bicycle participant.
